About the course
This course introduces the fundamental principles of MRI physics, including image formation, contrast mechanisms, parameter trade-offs, gradient encoding, k-space filling, pulse sequences, MRI acceleration technique, and MRI artifacts. It is designed to build a strong foundation in the physical concepts underlying magnetic resonance imaging.
Learning Outcomes
- 1- Explain the basic principles of MRI physics.
- 2- Describe how imaging parameters affect image quality and contrast.
- 3- Explain gradient encoding, k-space, and image formation.
- 4- Differentiate the main MRI pulse sequences.
- 5- Describe common MRI acceleration techniques.
- 6- Recognize common MRI artifacts and methods to reduce them.
